HP has appointed ex-Microsoft software chief Raymond Ozzie and ex-McDonald CEO James Skinner to its Board of Directors.
The PC maker has also named former Liberty Media CEO Robert Bennett as its board member, while it is also seeking a permanent non-executive chairman to succeed Ralph Whitworth.
Bennett will be a member of the Finance and Investment Committee and the Audit Committees, with Ozzie joining the Technology Committee and the Finance and Investment Committee, while Skinner will join the company’s Audit, HR and Compensation, and Nominating and Governance Committees.
HP chairman of the board Ralph Whitworth said that in April, the company had promised to recruit the very best and most talented leaders to HP’s board.
"Dob, Ray and Jim bring tremendous capital allocation, technological, operational and leadership expertise and experience to the table," Whitworth said.
"I’m confident they will make enormous contributions as we support Meg and her team in rebuilding HP by better serving our customers, strengthening our partnerships and building value for our shareholders.

The move follows HP’s attempts to strengthen its board following years of a leadership crisis. The current appointments increase the size of HP’s board to 12 from nine earlier.
