HONG KONG GOVERNMENT TO OUTSOURCE NEW IT PROJECTS

The Hong Kong government will outsource at least two thirds of all new government IT projects by 2001 to help boost the territory’s electronic commerce market, says secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting Kwong Ki-chi. He said government spending on IT this fiscal year is expected to reach $269m, 11% up from last year.
