Home and real estate-related web site Homestore.com Inc has agreed to acquire Homefair.com Inc, which provides moving and relocation information and services, for $85m. Thousand Oaks, California-based Homestore says that after the deal closes it will operate three out of the top five most visited real estate web sites on the internet, with an estimated 2.7 million unique users each month. Homestore.com’s family of real estate web sites already includes Realtor.com, which features existing and new home listings and real estate agent and broker services; HomeBuilder.com, which offers models, available new homes and plans; and Remodel.com, which caters to home improvement needs for both consumers and professionals.
