Customer relationship management software vendor HNC Software Inc on Wednesday announced the retirement of long-time CEO Robert North and CFO Raymond Thomas as part of what the company said is a planned management succession. John Mutch, the San Diego- based company’s president and chief operating officer, will succeed North as CEO effective January 15. Kenneth Saunders, currently vice president and corporate controller, will be promoted to succeed Thomas as CFO, also effective in January. North has held the top post at HNC since 1987, while Thomas has been CFO since 1995, when he joined the company to help launch its initial public offering.
