Hitachi Ltd has announced a series of system software and application products to manage the distribution of software from a mainframe environment to distributed environments such as workstations. Known as NETM/DM – it translates as Integrated Network Management System/Software Resource Delivery Management Assist, the suite fits within the new Hitachi ForeFront architectural concept. The software supports the specification and execution of distribution of software from the host to various workstations over a wide area network, from both host Open Systems Interconnection local network environments and HNA Hitachi Network Architecture environments. The software will be available in June 1993.
