Hitachi selected Netcomm Wireless for remote energy monitoring and management systems.

The firm said Netcomm’s solution is designed to interoperate with mobile networks globally and will allow Hitachi to deliver smart solutions to ease the use of energy resources worldwide efficiently.

Hitachi added that Netcomm will custom design wireless communication technology for the remote collection, management and analysis of energy data in real-time.

David Stewart, CEO at NetComm Wireless said: "Japan is an important market for us. Our collaboration with Hitachi and Kanematsu Communications demonstrates our capabilities in engineering smart city technologies that can be scaled to support large rollouts globally.

"Our partnership approach is to work with leading innovators to help countries achieve their emissions reduction targets, and transform the future of energy."
