HEWLETT-PACKARD TO DESIST FROM EFFORTS TO KILL HYPOINT

A federal judge in Cleveland, Ohio has ordered Hewlett-Packard Co to desist from alleged efforts to kill off Hypoint Technology Inc of Cleveland: HyPoint offers discount maintenance contracts to Hewlett users, and howled to the courts when Hewlett told its customers that service would be slow to those who weren’t buying their maintenance contracts directly from HP.
