It may be very difficult to make money in today’s computer markets, but some companies find it a lot harder than others, and on Friday, Hewlett-Packard Co came out with stunning fiscal fourth quarter figures to cap a record-breaking year that saw it storm through the $30 billion turnover barrier to settle at $31,519m. Net profit in the fourth quarter leaped 42% to $678m as the computer side fired on all cylinders.
