Hewlett-Packard Co yesterday reorganised its computer business once more – reducing the product sectors to two units, Computer Products and Networked Systems, from three, and folding the four groups in its former Systems Technology sector – Peripherals, Information Network, Networked Systems and Computer Manufacturing & Planning – into the two new units.
It also formed a new Information Architecture Group, but left the Computer Marketing and Worldwide Sales and Support operations largely unchanged. The aim of the shake-up is to shorten lines of communication.
