Hewlett-Packard Co announced yesterday that it has realigned its Computer Systems Organisation to provide closer co-ordination among its units. The Networked Systems Group has been replaced by four new groups: Systems Technology, Workstation Systems, Systems and Servers and Integrated Systems Groups. The Networked Systems Group Marketing Organisation was also merged with the Worldwide Sales and Marketing Group. Worldwide Customer Support Operations reports directly to Lewis Platt, executive vice-president and chief executive-elect. The new Systems Technology Group will focus on developing technology for the Computer Systems Organisation’s products and will include the Systems Technology, Open Systems Software, and Information Networks Divisions, Telecom Networks Operation, Grenoble Networks, User Interface Technology, R&D/Strategic Alliances and Quality/Productivity.
