Hecht-Nielsen Neurocomputers Inc, San Diego, California has a contract from the Electronics Technology and Devices Laboratory of the US Army Laboratory Command to identify Army battlefield problems and develop a design for a battlefield neurocomputer to satisfy the processing requirement: award of further business depends on the results of an initial $50,000 contract to prove that the concept is viable.
