HealthNet, the Federally Qualified Health Center in Indiana, has chosen eClinicalWorks electronic medical records and practice management system for its more than 110 providers and resident physicians in eight locations.
eClinicalWorks said that HealthNet will also use its Enterprise Business Optimizer (eBO) for enhanced reporting capabilities and eClinicalMessenger, a messaging service that utilizes voice-over-internet protocol.
eClinicalWorks also said that its electronic medical records (EMR)/ practice management (PM) will allow HealthNet to streamline processes between practice locations and promote patient safety while reducing costs. HealthNet has also chosen to implement eBO, which uses meta-data to give the practice more flexibility through the creation of customized reports and by performing clinical and financial analysis.
eClinicalMessenger is a messaging service that utilizes VoIP to enable physician practices to send messages, in batches or singularly, to patients for aspects of care including appointment reminders, lab results, diagnostic imaging and statements. eClinicalMessenger is embedded in eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, so patients can respond to the message and have their response change the status in the EMR.
Donald Trainor, chief medical officer of HealthNet, said: After a two and half year selection process, we selected eClinicalWorks because of its unified system as well as the intuitive nature of the product and its broad reporting capabilities. Using eClinicalWorks will also better position us to participate in the Indiana Health Information Exchange.
