The company added that it will launch the product to enable patients to compare healthcare treatment with the latest evidence-based recommendations already accepted by the medical community.

FACCT developed CompareYourCare with help from scientific experts and recently began licensing it for research and consumer use to healthcare organizations. FACCT founder David Lansky explained: CompareYourCare was designed to further FACCT’s mission to create a more responsive healthcare system through informed, motivated consumers who help shape the system, hold it accountable for quality, and act as partners in improving their own health.

HealthGrades said it will offer the online tool for license and integrate it into its consumer web site, which provides a search for healthcare organizations.

The technology currently covers adult health and diseases and rates healthcare treatments, and is expected to be developing tools to help consumers compare their care in maternity Care, HIV/AIDS, pediatric asthma, schizophrenia and others.

Under the terms of the agreement, CompareYourCare will also continue to participate in related research projects, seeking to further validate the underlying measurement strategies and grow the user base beyond the current platforms.
