Healtheon Corp, still in the process of completing its $5.5bn merger with WebMD Inc, is buying again. This time the target its medical news service Greenberg News Networks Inc. Healtheon has agreed to pay around $215m in stock. Healtheon – whose co-founder and chairman is James Clark, also co- founder and former chief executive officer of Netscape Communications Corp – agreed to merge with WebMD back in May (CI No 3,666) to create what will be the largest online health service firm. The Greenberg deal is expected to close at the same time. The news service will be used on WebMD’s web site, as well as for separate news services.
