Mike Wyckoff, 46, learned computer science in the US Navy and three years ago, when he was casting around for something to do, he came up with the idea of a company that would solve all those irritating little computer problems that beset small companies and home users – with the come-on that rather than the usual two-hour minimum, the fee is just a dollar a minute, whether the problem takes 10 minutes or 10 days to solve, Associated Press reports: he now employs six people in Falls Church, Virginia, and flashes a business card styling him Head Nerd – his other come-on is that the firm is called Rent-a-Nerd Inc.
