HAYES MICROCOMPUTER PRODUCTS AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS JOIN FORCES

Hayes Microcomputer Products, Atlanta, and Digital Communications Associates, Alpharetta, Georgia have joined forces to create IRMAremote for Hayes AutoSync, enabling a PC-DOS micro equipped with a Hayes V-Series modem function as a remote 3270 workstation linked to an IBM mainframe, and by implement-ing the Hayes Synchronous Driver, Digital Communications enables V-Series modems to access IBM mainframes without using a separate IRMA board; Digital Communications software can also access the AutoSync capability of modems, so that they can pass data synchronously through the same async ports found on the standard Personal Computer.
