Harris Corp’s Aerospace Systems Division has won a $35m deal from Boeing Aerospace for the design and implementation of the internal audio communications systems onboard the National Aeronautics & Space Administration’s Space Station Freedom; the system functions as an intercom and telecommunications system in each module of the station; Harris will also be responsible for interfacing fibre optic data and control buses common to audio and video systems, routing of video signals, and software development.
