Harris Corp, Melbourne, Florida has found separate buyers for its office automation-oriented personal computer business, acquired with Lanier Inc, and its 3270 plug-compatible display terminal business. Incremental typewriter-word processor systems integrator Syntrex Inc of Eatontown, New Jersey is taking the personal computer business, while the display terminals and controllers business is going to Adacom Inc, Overland Park, Kansas, although Harris will retain a stake, as will venture capital outfit Oak Investment Partners. The unit will be renamed Harris-Adacom, and will remain at its Dallas, Texas headquarters. No terms were given for either deal; analysts expected the two to go for $100m to $150m.
