Harris (HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded a 30-month, $25m contract to modernise and support high-bandwidth network cabling at the Air National Guard (ANG) sites nationwide.
As per the terms of the contract, HRS will deliver an integrated, high-bandwidth, structured cabling system at 15 ANG sites to upgrade their network infrastructure. All of the sites will require engineering and installation services, while two will require complete survey and design.
Mike Deloney, vice president of Air Force Programs at Harris IT Services, said: "Harris is providing a modern communications infrastructure to support the Air National Guard’s critical missions, including homeland security. We are proud to expand our relationship with the ANG to provide IT services and offerings at the base level."
