The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) in the UK has launched an international prospectus to attract investment in the science, technology and innovation businesses.
NWBLT includes a group of independent business leaders, who work together to promote the sustainable economic development in North West England.
Accenture produced the Discovery to Delivery prospectus, which outlines how businesses can benefit from the region’s ecosystem, based on its science and innovation assets, facilities and lifestyle proposition.
Businesses are urged to identify potential areas for enhancement, with proposals to speed up investment in the region, promote worldwide connectivity and increase existing operations.
UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said: "Backing science, technology and innovation is at the heart our plan to build a Northern Powerhouse.
"We have already made major progress with scientific investments like the £250 million Sir Henry Royce Institute with hubs across the North and significant technology commitments which will help develop new hubs across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Sheffield."
A promotion campaign has also been launched to increase awareness and understanding of the North West’s economic growth potential.
Fiona Gibson, who leads Accenture’s work with NWBLT, said: "The report identifies that the North West has the critical ingredients for businesses to prosper and thrive in a global environment, including acclaimed academic institutions, a wealth of graduate talent, and excellent digital and transport links which allow businesses to connect to global skills and export markets."
