CSC has signed a divestiture agreement with Italian IT services firm Dedagroup to sell its consulting and systems integration services segment of its business in Italy as part of its ongoing service portfolio optimisation.
Following the confirmation of final agreement, expected within two months, CSC will preserve a presence in Italy and will carry on providing a select portfolio of services that include cloud, financial services, infrastructure, business process outsourcing and healthcare offerings, to multinational firms.
Further, the firm will also keep hold of corporate financial services products, solutions and services for CSC’s international accounts.
CSC South and West Region vice president and general manager Claude Czechowski said the firm will transition parts of its business in Italy to a reliable and well-regarded Italian IT services company and help ensure a smooth transition for employees and clients.
"We can now focus on bringing CSC’s global solutions and services to multinational companies with operations in Italy," Czechowski said.
The agreement is also expected to allow CSC to advance its transformation strategy developed to rebalance its business portfolio with additional dedicated global solutions.
As per the agreement, Dedagroup will look after CSC’s pan-Italian consulting and systems integration projects in addition to fashion industry software products and services.
