Are you a perverted sex addict?

IT workers visiting CES 2014 create brothel business boom in Las Vegas.

By Cbr Rolling Blog

As CES 2014 came to a climax in Las Vegas on Friday, the BBC reported a more sordid side to the city’s influx of tech-minded people – a 70% increase in business for local brothels.

Sin City residents are well aware that major exhibitions, such as CES, bring huge financial benefits. While the average tourist in Las Vegas hits the casinos hard, business trippers tend to spend their cash in an array of other establishment, spreading the wealth around. Perhaps it is to be expected that brothels would be one such business to cash in.

And it is particularly interesting to note that the so-called oldest profession in the world is considering embracing one of the newest payment methods in the world.

Dena, the madam of a brothel called Sheri’s Ranch, located in the neighbouring town of Pahrump, told the BBC that the annual spike in business around CES could lead to them accepting Bitcoin as payment.

She said: "As it continues to grow in popularity, and if our clients desire it, Sheri’s Ranch will very likely implement a Bitcoin point-of-sale system in the future."

And the anonymity the cryptocurrency provides could help spare the blushes of anyone keen to keep their perversions under wraps.

But are they really perverts? At Sheri’s Ranch they do not judge.

Dena explained: "A CES visitor is as unique, or as commonplace, in their sexual desires as anyone else. My girls are very capable of making those desires a reality, whether a client wears Google Glass or carries a cell phone from 2002."

Unfortunately, I don’t own Google Glass or a phone from 2002.
