Apple will reportedly close a deal with IDA and the Irish Government to double the size of its operations facility in Cork, Ireland.
According to The Sunday Times, the company expansion would involve an investment of around €700 million.
The California tech enterprise is believed to be buying land adjacent to its operations structure in Holyhill, Cork.
The centre currently employs 4,000 people, but a further 2,000 employees could be accommodated following the expansion.
Apple first settled in Cork in 1980, and recently invested nearly €300 million in new facilities, building an office block in the city centre.
Earlier this year, the company said it would by investing €850 million to build a data centre in Galway, Ireland, ready to operate in 2017.
