The Hanover’s direct bill commission download sends commission data for personal and commercial lines business to the agency management system on a monthly basis.

The insurer says that agents using this electronic alternative to manual entry

will reduce the time they spend processing the agency’s direct bill commission information by as much as 20%, helping them to operate more efficiently.

Instead of manually entering commission numbers, which leaves room for personal error, agents just have to confirm that the download is delivered to the agency management system and then the accounts are automatically updated.

Independent agent partners of The Hanover can gain access to the system by contacting The Hanover directly. Agents who opt to use the direct bill commission download system will continue to receive printed commission statements.

This enhancement represents yet another step forward in our journey to make it easier for agents to conduct business with our company, while maximizing their profitability, said Sean Sweeney, assistant vice president of agency automation at The Hanover.

The Hanover previously introduced direct bill commission download for agents using AMS Services, another provider of automated software for agents in the property and casualty industry.
