Handheldmed.com: targeting physicians of the future

Handheldmed.com and the AMSA will give medical students subscription discounts to MobilePractice.

Handheldmed.com will provide American Medical Student Association students and residents with discounted subscriptions to MobilePractice medical software for handheld devices. Handheldmed has included reference material specifically geared towards students and residents as part of its software package, which will aid adoption in the student community, as it meets their current needs. However, the provision of usable, easily integrated services that will save time, money and convenience is what will truly drive adoption among the physician community.

Handheldmed.com has adopted a targeted marketing strategy, based on the theory that increasing medical students’ comfort and familiarity with new technologies will increase adoption as those students move into practicing medicine. This is a wise strategy. Future physicians will adapt to new wireless systems and integrate them into their practices. Handheldmed.com is creating its future market.
