Handheld has unveiled a new ultra-rugged PDA Nautiz X7, which comes with TMR technology (transmissive micro reflective) screen with full VGA and touch display and runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. It is the third product in Nautiz product line, which also includes the Nautiz X5 and the Nautiz eTicket.

According to Handheld, the new PDA weighs around 490 grams and comes with features such as, 3G cellular phone capabilities, 3 mega-pixel camera with autofocus and flash, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, digital compass, altimeter and G-sensor.

The Nautiz X7 is IP67-rated and passes full MIL-STD-810F testing for drops of up to 1.2 meters, and can also handle temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. It comes with 806MHz processor, 128MB RAM, 4GB built-in flash storage and a 5400 mAh Li-ion battery.

The unit also comes with USB host, SDIO expansion slot for additional storage or accessories, such as RFID or barcode scanners, and has 9-pin RS232 for direct connections with geo-technical and other instruments.
