Handelsbanken enables direct trading on European stock markets

Handelsbanken Capital Markets is launching a new service for direct trading on Europe's stock markets.

By CBR Staff Writer

The investment bank is launching the service with NeoNet, a supplier of DMA (direct market access) services.

In the first phase of operation, Handelsbanken is offering direct market access to 13 European stock exchanges. This is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2007. The second stage plans to offer direct market access to stock exchanges beyond Europe.

Handelsbanken says that customers will be able to conduct everything from a simple equity trade to a complex trade using advanced trading functionality.
