Jim Hebert, the co-founder, president and chief executive of Haht Software Inc, one of the most prominent suppliers of Java integrated development environments has reigned to pursue other unidentified interests. Herbert – one of the H’s in the company’s name – has seen the company through to the third release of its flagship Hahtsite product, which ships later this quarter and through its financing rounds. The Raleigh, North Carolina company secured $7m in April last year and was dithering as to whether to try for a second round, but Hebert stayed around long enough to see the round to near-completion, hopefully by the end of this month (CI No 3,208). Hebert is replaced by the company’s chief operating officer and other co-founder Rowland Archer, who steps up to president and CEO, the ‘A’ in the company name.
