1,500 hackers gathered together in Las Vegas last week to join the Def Con 5 annual hackers conference, a thought that would conjure up immediate fear for a lot of people. The name Def Con comes from the military term, Defense Condition, used as a measure determining how close the country is to nuclear war. Amusements at the convention included a Spot the Fed contest and Hacker’s Jeopardy, where missing a question meant drinking a beer.
