It’s no problem here, where there is a single cellular telephone system UK-wide, but in the US, where every city comes into a different franchise, driving out of your service area is a problem: at present, callers have to dial a roamer access code before the seven figure cellular number to reach somebody who is out of the zone, but now GTE Mobilenet Inc is introducing a Follow Me Roaming service where the onus is on the driver to notify his presence – if every time he drives into a new city on his trip he registers his presence with a three-digit code, all his calls will be forwarded.
