Federal Express may have blown up on its ambitious Zapmail electronic message delivery service, but a new company has been formed in Washington with equally ambitious plans for the same market: TCOM Systems Inc gants to provide big business with overnight delivery of large volumes of first-class mail in major cities using electronic transmission, and has given GTE Corp a $50m contract for the electronic mail backbone of the new service.
