Grupo Mexicana, the parent company to seven organizations in the Mexican airline industry including Mexicana, has implemented Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul to drive profitability.
Mexicana MRO Services provides integrated support, maintenance and repair services for clients in the US and Latin America. Relying on Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (cMRO), Mexicana maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) Services is able to gain increased visibility into amounts of product information, parts and asset service histories, and integration between materials management and maintenance service execution systems. Now, Mexicana is able to help ensure stringent regulatory-compliance requirements are met, according to Oracle.
The airline decided to deploy Oracle cMRO and the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 financial management, human capital management and SCM supply chain management applications to achieve a single, real-time information system that provides enterprise-wide visibility and streamlines back-office and aircraft maintenance operations, said Oracle.
Oracle also said that Mexicana also leveraged its Siebel Loyalty Management for its recently launched customer loyalty program MexicanaGo! and is utilizing Oracle On Demand to achieve a lower total cost of ownership and free the airline from the burden of IT infrastructure management.
David Orellana, chief information officer of Mexicana, said: Our vision is to become the number one Latin American MRO offering integrated support services while achieving consistency in reparation and delivery schedules. In order to achieve that goal, we realized that a tightly integrated ERP and MRO system was essential. Replacing our legacy applications with Oracle’s industry leading capabilities is already proving to be the right decision for our customers, our growth strategy and our bottom line.
