The San Francisco, California-based company’s GroundWork Monitor Professional product is being put though its paces as the official open source monitoring technology for the InteropNet event in Las Vegas.

The company is also demonstrating the integration of new open source monitoring tools, such as Network Weathermap for network usage visualization, and NTOP for network protocol analysis.

Other tools now integrated with GroundWork Monitor Professional also include the MRTG network SNMP collector, RRDtool report generation tool, Cacti discovery tool, and NeDI network discovery and configuration tool.

Both the GroundWork Monitor Open Source and Professional products integrate the Nagios monitoring tool with the open source MySQL database and PHP scripting language, as well as Monarch (Monitor Architect) configuration tool for Nagios, which GroundWork has released as an open source project at SourceForge.
