UK e-commerce company Gresham Computing Plc has announced the $2.71m acquisition of Tewksbury, Massachusetts IT consultancy Automated Solutions Inc in an effort to expand its US operation. Gresham’s key gains include ASI’s automated OS testing system AutoScriptor Inferno and its healthcare sector sales expertise. The deal will consist of an up-front payment of $1.3m cash and a deferred, performance-related payment in cash and shares. It will be funded with part of the cash Gresham plans to raise with a placement of 2.2 million new shares.
