The acquisition will see App Ant Studios helps GREE to expand its portfolio of game content for users around the world

By CBR Staff Writer

Japan based mobile gaming content and platform provider GREE has acquired a mobile game development studio, App Ant Studios.

According to the company, the acquisition will see App Ant Studios helps GREE to expand its portfolio of game content for users around the world.

GREE International CEO Naoki Aoyagi said: "The team at App Ant Studios has continually impressed us with the quality of its engineering, art, and overall product."

Prior to the acquisition, App Ant Studios worked with GREE earlier this year to develop the Android title Dino Life.

Following the acquisition, all members of App Ant Studios’ current team will be integrated into GREE, including its four founders, who will take lead roles within the Game Development and Engineering teams.

The acquisition of App Ant Studios will help GREE expands its global user count to one billion and extends its portfolio of games on GREE Platform.

In addition, GREE Platform will deliver social gaming experiences, as well as offers developers the access to engaged global audience.
