The funding was led by Outlook Ventures, which was joined by existing investor OVP Venture Partners. The company said it will use the funds to continue aggressive product development as well as drive the sales and marketing for its first product introduction, GraniteEdge ESP.

The Bellevue, Washington-based company was founded in 2003 and offers causality analysis software, which effectively adds a layer of intelligence to the seemingly random stream of network and security data. GraniteEdge ESP is said to detect all types of threats, including insider and zero day breaches, worms, and trojans.
