GRANADA DISASTER RECOVERY ADDS TWO MORE MID-RANGE IBM, DEC MOBILES TO ITS FLEET

Computer Disaster Recovery Ltd, part of the Granada Group Plc, has added two new units to its range of mobile equipment, taking the total number of units to 16. The company says that that the units are equipped with mid-range equipment that it is compatible with IBM, DEC and most major manufacturers’ hardware. The units are modular in design, and can be linked together to provide support for larger systems. Depending on the level of cover – economy, standard, or super – back-up can be instituted between two and 24 hours. In addition to computers, the mobile units contain power distribution boards, radio telephones, and air conditioning. Special units can be equipped to contain replacement telephone exchanges and the usual office paraphernalia.
