Graff Pay Per View Inc is working with Multimedia Games Inc to develop interactive game shows that will enable viewers to bet and win jackpots. The broadbased technology is aimed at everything from broadcast and cable television news through video dialtone and on-line services. President Mark Graff says that he believes that transaction-oriented games of chance will be one of the first major economically feasible applications for developing interactive television and on-line media. Graff’s business is divided into two categories: content creation and network packaging of programming and distribution. It is currently developing video dialtone services with Philips Media and the Koniklijke PTT Nederland NV in the joint pan-European company, Teleselect. This will create joint ventures with cable operators across Europe to provide conditional access programming and electronic retailing services. Graff’s partner, Multimedia Games Inc, develops and operates computer-based bingo game via closed circuit television, with audio and data link to players at high stakes American Indian bingo halls and charity events.
