GOVT SECURITIES CLEARANCE CORP’S FAST.SERV SPEEDS WEB

The Government Securities Clearance Corp (GSCC) has chosen a web plug-in called Fast.Serv from Fast Engines Inc to improve the performance of its web servers. GSCC delivers information to 100 Wall Street firms and needs to deliver it quickly. Fast.Serv initializes and established persistent connections to databases and CORBA servers before the client access the GSCC site. As a result, GSCC says its DEC Alpha servers can deliver page requests at high speeds.
