The company revealed in April that it was working on the third piece of the Office puzzle, a competitor to Powerpoint, when it acquired Tonic Systems, which had similar technology. Google has previously said that this part of Docs & Spreadsheets will be released this summer.

Docs & Spreadsheets, which Google has been assembling through a combination of in-house development and acquisition, provides many of the base-level functions of Office, along with the ability to share and collaborate over the web, for well over a year.
