A typical Google acquisition, the financial terms of the deal and Google’s plans for integrating the services into its own were not disclosed.

The search firm merely said it will beta-test GrandCentral’s services. It will continue serving existing users but has, as is its wont, scaled back new sign-ups to a limited number of users.

GrandCentral, founded two years ago by a pair of Yahoo alumni, gives its users a single account that they can use to consolidate all their various messaging in-boxes.
