Google Hangouts and Talk users have reported that their messages are being sent to the wrong contacts and recipients.
Reports revealed that messages sent from Google Talk users were sent to those using Hangouts.
Google said that its Google Talk service has already been restored for some users, while a resolution for all users should be expected in the near future.
"Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change," the firm said.
"We have since identified the problem and are currently applying a fix."
Google has been hit with several outages. the most recent one being a dual network failure, which delayed sending emails via its Gmail service.
In April, Google’s other web services including Docs, Drive and Gmail were disrupted for about two hours, while an outage in December 2012 left millions of Gmail users unable to access any of its services.
