Good Technology acquires mobile device management firm CloudSync

To strengthen its position in mobile device management and security

By CBR Staff Writer

Good Technology has acquired CloudSync, a Denver, Colorado-based mobile device management company, to strengthen its position in mobile device management and security for companies.

Good Technology said that the acquisition furthers its mission of enabling device choice in the enterprise by providing device management for a range of devices including laptops, tablets, ruggedised handhelds and smartphone platforms, all through a cloud-based service offering.

CloudSync enables customers to deploy, manage, control, locate and support a range of mobile devices through a web-based mobile device management system. Its product line includes a device management console, a remote help desk application, web-based access control, and the CloudLocate GPS-based location application.

In addition, CloudSync supports all Microsoft Windows mobile devices, Windows laptops, and RIM BlackBerry devices, and combined with Good, it is expected to extend its support to iPhone, Android, Symbian, and webOS devices in the coming months.
