A man who invented a device that would have proved invaluable to golfers has been bunkered after the intervention of the sport’s ruling body. Michael Moore had spent thousands developing the Parmaker which consists of a sensor mounted on a golf trolley which sends a signal to a digital display unit in the mouth of the bag which can measure the length of a shot or tell golfers how far they are from the green. But, according to the UK’s Sunday Telegraph newspaper, the Royal and Ancient golf club has ruled against the device because it gives the player an unfair advantage.
