GoldMine Software Corp has strengthened its customer relationship management offering with the acquisition of SalesWare Corp for an undisclosed sum. Colorado Springs, Colorado-based GoldMine will integrate SalesWare’s Vital Signs sales software into its Front Office 2000 sales and marketing software by the end of the second quarter.

Orlando-based SalesWare’s Vital Signs is Windows NT and SQL Server-based software enabling sales managers to see deals in the pipeline visually and predict the sale’s value and timing. Sales directors can use the tool to manage sales, plugging in average contracts, targets and close rates. Vital Signs will write reports based on those parameters.

Front Office 2000 will not be released until early next year but GoldMine says it has had lots of interest and a full order book with more than 20 prospective customers in the UK alone. Vital Signs will be available as a stand-alone module or an add-on. Expected Front Office 2000 contract sizes are in the 25,000 pounds to 40,000 pounds range ($40,200 to $64,400). GoldMine will also take on the 10 SalesWare staff.
