Fiserv, the global provider of financial services technology solutions, has announced that California-based Golden 1 Credit Union has deployed its Consumer Source Capture product.

Reportedly, Golden 1 credit union utilises the ASP version of the remote deposit capture product and integrates remote deposit capture into its existing online banking and payments solutions from Fiserv, Voyager Consumer Banking and CheckFree RXP. The company has claimed that the solution allows consumers or small business owners to electronically scan and deposit checks from any location with a PC, a scanner and an internet connection.

The company has added that the solution guides consumers through the steps of creating a deposit ticket, scanning the check, entering deposit details and confirming the deposit. According to the company Consumer Source Capture can be installed as a new remote deposit capture (RDC) product or integrated as an add-on with any existing RDC solution used by the institution.

Teresa Halleck, president and CEO of The Golden 1 Credit Union, said: “We think the Consumer Capture product will effectively bolster our retail banking capabilities, as our members will now have the option of saving time and money by depositing checks anywhere anytime without making a trip to the credit union.”

Teri Carstensen, president, Fiserv Item Processing and Payment Solutions Division, said: Financial institutions can now provide customers with much faster funds availability while saving them time, money and energy by doing their essential banking activities from the comfort of their own home or office.”
