July 24, 2009 Renews Privacy Certification From TRUSTe

To uphold its consumer's privacy and protect their online security

By CBR Staff Writer

Online health insurance portal, has renewed its privacy certification from TRUSTe, a consumer and business advocacy organisation. The company renewed its TRUSTe Privacy Program certificate to uphold its consumer’s privacy and protect their online security.

To gain certification, a TRUSTe representative reviews a website’s privacy notices and advises where more clarification is required, in regards to the use of a customer’s personal information. TRUSTe also serves as a third-party monitoring service to ensure that the terms of GoHealthInsurance’s privacy policy is fulfilled.

The company claims that provides free health insurance quotes to customers where they can compare plans and rates, and apply for coverage online. The service also connects a shopper with a licensed local agent for one-on-one benefits consultations, which requires the submission of basic contact information.
