Capgemini has been selected by General Motors Holdings (GM) for the renewal of three contracts of approximately $100m with GM’s Global Sales, Service & Marketing; Global Purchasing and Supply Chain; and Global Business Services organisations.
Under the renewed five-year agreement, Capgemini will continue to serve as the GM’s application integration management (AIM) supplier for each of these respective process areas.
The contract is an extension of Capgemini’s ongoing work in support of GM’s Next-Generation Systems Factory Operating Model, which provides standardised processes for application management and developing common, integrated standards based offerings that scale with business needs.
Under the terms of these three contracts, Capgemini will collaborate with GM’s Information Technology organisation in providing services in the areas of strategic planning, data management, systems engineering and architecture (SE&A), software engineering, programme management, and verification and validation (V&V).
Capgemini General Motors global account executive Marc Martinez said this win is testament to their collaborative relationship with GM, their success over the past four years in support of GM IT initiatives, and the trust GM placed in Capgemini as a strategic partner.
