By CBR Staff Writer

Glowpoint, a provider of video communication services, has partnered with Affinity VideoNet to offer its IP-based video network and managed video services to Affinity’s clients and affiliates and their numerous telepresence and videoconferencing suites in 60 countries.

As part of the agreement, Affinity VideoNet clients and affiliates will have full access to Glowpoint’s Quality of Service IP-based video network overlay services, its global video exchange-known as the Telepresence interExchange Network (TEN), and Glowpoint’s VNOC services, which provide the complete management of both telepresence and HD video environments.

Peter Holst, CEO of Affinity VideoNet, said: Our partnership with Glowpoint offers our affiliates and clients a video conferencing network solution that is high-quality, affordable, and easy to implement, with the added benefit of interconnectivity with other businesses on Glowpoint’s global exchange environment, TEN. In addition, the extension of our service portfolio, through Glowpoint’s VNOC and managed services platform, adds significant value to our complete video solution.

Joe Laezza, President and Co-CEO of Glowpoint, said: Affinity VideoNet is the recognized leader in the public room videoconferencing industry, offering thousands of rental suites in 60 countries. We are pleased to announce this alliance, and looking forward to working together to expand IP Video adoption throughout the business community. The participation of the Affinity VideoNet network of rooms in our Telepresence interExchange Network is yet another step toward achieving the mission of powering a global community where video communications are a part of everyday business life.
