France Telecom, the new owners of the company, began by converting its own mobile division to the highly recognizable Orange banner, almost immediately after buying the formerly British owned company. The re-branding has spread through Denmark, to the Slovakian mobile company Globtel, who have announced this week that they are to be the next company, to go Orange.
Brigitte Bourgoin, Executive Vice President International of Orange, said, We are proud that Globtel is re-branding to Orange and the fact that Globtel is one of the earliest companies to begin the re-branding process is recognition of its success in Slovakia to date.
Orange is aiming to complete the re-branding by the middle of next year.
